- English Composition-
- Writing: Unit 5: Lesson 11 Write a research paper that is on a topic, neither too broad nor too narrow. The paper will give information about your chosen topic. You will consider your audience and include citations for direct quotations or ideas taken from someone else. It will be your own original work and the contents of the paper will be true and accurate. You will include a citations page. You will turn your research paper in to your homeroom teacher in revised and polished form.
These are things to consider:
· Use evidence gained from research to support the thesis.
· Use an appropriate pattern of organization and appropriate transitions between paragraphs.
· Include citations within the body of the paper.
· Identify purpose and audience, and determine appropriate tone for a research paper.
· Write a research paper with a strong thesis statement.
· Identify and use the steps in the writing process: prewriting, writing, and revising.

- Health-
- Unit 5 Lesson 5 Health Care Providers and Services. Activity 1. Taking Charge of Your Health Care (Offline) Read pages 142-145 in the Glencoe Teen Health textbook. In the Health Notebook, begin on a clean page and complete questions 1-7 of the Lesson Review on page 145. When you are finished, ask an adult to check your answers in the Teacher’s Guide. On a clean sheet of paper, complete the “On Your Own” activity on page 143 by preparing a one to two page report about one of the medical specialties listed in the Health Skills Activity on the same page. When you are finished, present the report to an adult.
